Early into summer I acted as a co-photographer for the Kumar wedding. The couple was confident to give free rein to follow our own artistic views to capture the essence of the day, so given the intimate nature of their wedding I focused on a more candid portrayal. I wanted the images to have a softness to them that would be able to capture the beautiful colours of the fabrics worn, while highlighting the individual journeys on the couple on their day.
On the big day I was very happy to have some time at the bride's parents house for her preparations, where we were able to capture some very intimate moments. Working with the tone of the day, and the cherry blossom theme of the wedding, we deiced upon a soft feel which I feel really comes through.
